The school was founded by Bhai Arjun Singh Sumthershe, an educator and visionary who returned to India after impactful years of teaching and community service in England and Canada. Inspired by his father—a teacher who had once established a Khalsa school in Punjab—Bhai Arjun Singh laid the foundation for this institution with a deep-seated belief in education as a force for social upliftment.
Guided by his conviction that all religions share a spiritual core that can foster mutual respect and harmony, the school welcomes students from diverse backgrounds—Hindu, Muslim, Sikh—and offers both secular education and an introduction to the universal tenets of various spiritual traditions.
Dr. Ran Singh Arya, Chief Patron of Swami Sachidanand Smarak Vidyalaya, brings intellectual leadership and spiritual depth to the institution. A distinguished scholar with a PhD from IIT Delhi, Dr. Arya is a long-standing advocate of Jeevan Vidya and Madhyasth Darshan—the philosophy of coexistence articulated by Shri A. Nagraj. His guidance has been instrumental in aligning the school’s pedagogy with values of self-awareness, ethical behavior, and responsible living.
